NO MORE NERF
Due to a variety of issues surrounding Nerf play, we have made the decision to discontinue Nerf as an option for bookings on normal operating days for the foreseeable future. We may be able to accommodate special request events outside of our primary operating periods (Friday PM/Saturday/Sunday Afternoon).
AXE THROWING IS OPEN!
Since the beginning of 2022 we were hard at work on a new venue/location close by.
We're happy to announce that Twisted Limits Axe Throwing Lounge is now open! You can book a lane from our home page. Full website coming soon!
Located at 1722 N. Richmond Road in McHenry, the lounge features 12 lanes with digitally projected games on end grain targets. Multiple gameplay options are offered on boards that are easier to stick an axe!

All sessions are 90 minutes. It is up to you how that is spent. Games can be played the entire time or it can be divided for food & drink or celebration.
Groups are welcome to bring in any food/drink they would like.

Is it scary? Am I really locked in a room?No. We have not designed any of our rooms with horror elements or anything intended to frighten a player. You are never locked in a room or confined in a space against your will.

What if I have more or less people than I am booking for?That's fine! We only charge for whoever is actually going into an escape room. If your headcount changes between the time of booking and the day of, that is no problem. We do appreciate if you notify us of the change in advance if possible.

I am new to escape rooms or this is my first time to Twisted Limits. Which room should I book?We recommend "Behind the Curtain" as the best starting point.

Is there an age requirement?We recommend that groups of players aged 10-13 should have at least one older player or adult accompanying. Child-dominated groups are not recommended. Ages 14+ are generally better on their own. Children under 10 can accompany a group but it is not recommended and most appropriate when the majority of the group is comprised of older family members.

Can I host a birthday party here? What about food/drink?Absolutely. We have an 800 square foot party room that can be reserved for your group. You are welcome to bring in any manner of food or drink that you prefer. The party rooms operates under "first come first serve" but can be reserved privately for a minor fee. Please contact us to do so.

How much does it cost?Our rooms are all priced at $30-$40 per player, depending on the scenario. All of our pricing works this way, but you are welcome to contact us for a large outing of 20+ participants that we may be able to negotiate a flat rate for.

Will I be playing with people I don't know?No. All of our bookings are private. Once you make a reservation, the whole time slot is blocked out.

Do I have to pay online?Yes and no. A deposit in the amount of a single player's admission is required but the remaining balance can be paid on arrival via card or cash. Payments can also be split individually upon arrival. When booking, there is always the option to pay in full as well.

Where are you located?Our address is at 3735 W. Elm Street (Rt. 120), McHenry IL 60050. We are located in the Century 21 plaza set farther back from the road. Sherwin-Williams and Sparrow's Nest are directly across the street.

Are you hiring?We are always happy to accept applications but our staffing needs are determined by multiple varying factors throughout the year. Don't hesitate to submit an app and we will contact you if we are in need of additional hands.
